An editor-style JSON viewer with structure tree, search, and themes. Bonsai turns raw JSON responses into a fast, read-only, editor-style viewer: the experience of opening the file in a desktop code editor, directly in the tab. • Structure panel: a virtualized tree of the document with type icons, counts, copy-value / copy-path (JSONPath, dot, bracket) on every row, and reveal-in-structure from any editor line. • Editor niceties: code folding by level, breadcrumb path bar, hover row actions, precise error markers with clickable line:column for malformed documents. • Full-document search: case / whole-word / regex, match count, auto-unfolds folded matches • Automatic takeover of JSON pages (correct Content-Type + JSON-looking body), with a one-click "View raw document" escape hatch and a manual "Format this page" override from the toolbar popup. • Handles large documents (tiered rendering up to tens of MB) •and local files (works on file:// JSON/JSONL once you enable "Allow access to file URLs"). • JSON, JSONC, and JSON Lines / NDJSON (multi-record streams fold into an array view with a record-count badge). • Keyboard-first navigation: arrow keys move between rows, collapse a node, or expand it (the same behavior in the editor and the structure tree). Ctrl/Cmd+Enter to reveal the cursor's node in the structure tree, Ctrl/Cmd+F to search the whole document, Ctrl/Cmd+A and Ctrl/Cmd+C to select and copy the full document, F3/Ctrl+G to step through matches. • Dark & light themes with live switching, bundled fonts, settings sync across your Chrome profiles. The only thing it stores is your own settings (theme, layout) in Chrome's sync storage.
