Description
Readable XML in Chrome: a virtual-scroll tree for huge feeds, search, error pinpointing and a table view for RSS & product feeds. Chrome shows XML as an unreadable wall of text, and chokes on anything large. XML Viewer replaces that with a real tree — and stays fast on the 20 MB product feed you actually have to debug. Only the rows currently on screen exist in the page, so a 50,000-item feed scrolls exactly like a 20-line one. WHAT YOU GET • Tree view — collapsible nodes, syntax colours, line numbers, namespace-aware tags. Select any node to see its XPath, its attributes and its full value, with one-click copy. • Table view — for feeds, the repeating record is detected automatically (item, entry, url, product, …) and laid out as rows and columns. Choose which columns to show, export to CSV, or click a row number to jump straight to that record in the tree. • Search that keeps up — match element names, attribute names, attribute values and text. Literal or regular expression, case-sensitive or not. A filter mode hides everything except the matches and the path down to them. After the first search, every further keystroke narrows the previous hits, so it stays instant even across 450,000 elements. • Broken XML, pointed at — instead of Chrome cutting the page off at the first error, you get the parser's reason, the exact line and column, and the offending source with a caret under it. If you write feeds, this is the feature you will use most. • Source view — the formatted document or the original bytes, syntax highlighted, virtualised the same way. • Malformed Content-Type handled — plenty of feed endpoints serve XML as text/plain. XML Viewer recognises those and shows them properly anyway. • Respects the author's intent — sitemaps and feeds that ship an XSLT or CSS stylesheet render as their authors meant them to. One click on the toolbar button switches that page to the tree; a setting makes it the default if you prefer. • Light and dark themes, English and Turkish interface, keyboard-driven: / to search, arrows to walk the tree, E and C to expand and collapse everything. PRIVACY No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no network requests. Your documents are parsed and rendered locally and never leave your browser. The only stored data is your own settings.
