Observe focused browsing activity for approved domains with a local dashboard and optional SlashCoded Desktop sync. SlashCoded Browser Extension helps you understand and manage time spent on selected websites. The extension has three main features: * Discover domains you have not classified before * Measure time spent on approved, whitelisted domains * Optionally send measured activity to SlashCoded Desktop The extension can run in two modes: Standalone mode or SlashCoded mode. Standalone mode In Standalone mode, all data stays inside the browser extension's private storage. The extension can: * Measure time spent on whitelisted domains * Store browsing usage data locally * Show recent activity and charts in the built-in dashboard * Discover new domains when domain discovery is enabled * Let you whitelist or ignore discovered domains * Keep ignored domains out of future measurement A discovered domain is not measured automatically. You decide whether to whitelist or ignore it. Time tracking starts only after a domain has been approved. Standalone mode stores: * Approved browsing activity in the browser's IndexedDB database * Domain rules, discovered domains, settings, and temporary queues in extension local storage Standalone mode is used for: * The built-in dashboard * Local charts and recent activity * Reviewing discovered domains * Choosing which domains to observe or ignore * Optional later migration to SlashCoded Desktop Data collected in Standalone mode can be migrated to SlashCoded Desktop whenever you decide to install the desktop app. No browsing activity is sent to SlashCoded Desktop while the extension is running in true Standalone mode. SlashCoded mode SlashCoded mode is recommended for most users, especially people who want to automate time reports or visually understand how they spend time on their machine. SlashCoded Desktop is an optional desktop app that stores data locally on your own machine. When the extension connects to SlashCoded Desktop, approved browsing measurements are sent to the local desktop app, not to a cloud service. Only activity from whitelisted domains is measured and sent. Domains that have not been approved are not included in time tracking. SlashCoded Desktop can then combine browser activity with other local activity data, making it easier to review work patterns, prepare time reports, and understand where time is spent. It only measures time on domains you approve. Your data remains on your machine. In Standalone mode, it stays inside the browser extension's private storage.
