Convert Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides links into Drive preview URLs. Google Drive Preview Link Copier helps you copy Google Drive preview URLs from Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive file links. Google Drive links for Office files may open the file in Google’s web editors, which can sometimes change fonts, layout, or formatting. Opening the file through Google Drive’s preview view helps avoid that automatic conversion path and keeps the file closer to its original appearance. With this extension, you can: - Copy a preview link from the Google Drive right-click menu - Copy a preview link from Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides link menus - Convert a copied Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Drive URL from the extension popup - Convert a clipboard link with a keyboard shortcut - Preserve resource keys when they are present in the original URL - Switch the extension UI between English and Japanese This is useful when sharing Office documents stored in Google Drive, especially when you want recipients to open the file in preview mode instead of immediately opening it in Google’s editors. If the Google Drive desktop app is installed, the preview page can also provide a path to open Office files in the corresponding desktop app. The extension processes links locally in your browser. It does not send copied links or clipboard contents to an external server.
