A website blocker and focus timer with breathing pauses. Set website limits, choose each visit length, and pause before scrolling. Pause is a website blocker and focus timer for more intentional browsing. Take a full-window breathing pause before the websites you choose. Then decide how long you need, or step away. A BREATH BEFORE ANOTHER SCROLL A smooth animation fills the window. Choose a 5, 10, or 20-second breath for each website. YOUR WEBSITES. YOUR LIMITS. Manage everything from a compact toolbar popup. Add the current website, switch interventions on or off, and give each site its own breathing duration and maximum visit length. CHOOSE HOW LONG YOU NEED After each breath, choose from 1 minute up to your website’s maximum, adjustable from 1 to 120 minutes. Step away closes the tab. Continue starts the visit you chose. A PAUSE WHEN TIME IS UP Each tab gets its own timer. When time expires, an eligible tab still on that website returns to another breath. Recognized automatic redirects can carry the timer to their destination; review or remove learned hosts under Redirects covered. A MOMENT TO DECIDE Settings stay locked through the breath and visit chooser. Chrome’s own tab and extension controls remain available. LOCAL BY DESIGN No account, subscription, ads, or analytics service. Websites, settings, learned redirect hosts and aggregate pause/step-away/continue counts stay in local extension storage. Full destination URLs, navigation metadata, tab IDs and visit deadlines are processed locally for interventions and redirect coverage; temporary visit state lasts for the browsing session. Nothing is sent to the developer. Pause does not read page contents, messages, passwords or cookies. Pause works with Chrome websites. Add sites and grant access as needed. Chrome can delay timers, especially after device sleep. Redirect recognition depends on browser navigation events, so some destinations may appear briefly or need to be added directly. Pause is a voluntary habit aid; it does not control native apps or prevent uninstalling.
