Export YouTube comments to CSV/JSON/Markdown and tag demand signals locally. YouTube Comment Miner helps creators, indie developers and researchers turn YouTube comments into structured research data. Start with built-in local demo data to preview the workflow instantly. When you are ready to analyze a real video, save your own YouTube Data API key, paste a video URL, tag demand signals and risk patterns locally, then export the results to CSV/JSON/Markdown for Notion, Excel, Google Sheets or your own research pipeline. What it helps with Find repeat questions, pain points and demand signals in comment threads. Flag spam-like, promotional or risky patterns with local rules. Filter tagged results before exporting. Try the workflow before setting up an API key. Data source Comment data is fetched via the YouTube Data API v3 for the video you provide. If no API key is configured, the popup uses bundled local sample comments for demo purposes and does not call the YouTube API. If public-key demo mode is enabled by the maintainer, demo usage is limited and the UI will prompt users to add their own API key when limits are reached. What we do with the data We analyze and tag comments locally in your browser (e.g. tags / hitReasons) and generate export files. Privacy & data handling (MVP) No server upload: this extension does not upload comment content or analysis results to any cloud server. Local storage only: settings (including your API key in BYOK mode) and cache are stored in chrome.storage.local. You control retention: cached results expire by default (TTL 24h) and can be cleared via Clear Cache. How to use Open the extension popup. Try the built-in demo data first, or save your own YouTube Data API key in Options and paste a video URL/ID. Choose a ruleset and set Max pages / Page size. Click Fetch to view tagged results. Export as CSV / JSON / Markdown. Notes Requests may fail or return partial results due to API quota / rate limits / network conditions. The UI will indicate partial results when it happens.
