Description
A keyboard-first bookmark launcher for Chrome. **LaunchMark** is a fast, keyboard-first bookmark launcher for Chrome. If your bookmarks bar is crowded and Chrome’s default bookmark manager feels too slow or too disruptive, LaunchMark gives you a faster way to find and open saved pages from anywhere. ### Why use LaunchMark? LaunchMark is built for people who save a lot of bookmarks and want a quicker, cleaner way to access them. With a single shortcut, you can open a lightweight launcher, type a few letters, and jump directly to the bookmark you need — without opening a separate tab or digging through folders. ### Key Features * **Instant access** — Open LaunchMark anywhere with `Ctrl+Shift+K` * **Fast bookmark search** — Search by bookmark title, URL, domain, or folder path * **Keyboard-first workflow** — Navigate results with arrow keys and open with `Enter` * **Stay focused** — Launch bookmarks without opening Chrome’s bookmark manager * **Private by default** — Everything runs locally in your browser * **No account, no setup** — Install and start using it immediately ### How it works 1. Press `Ctrl+Shift+K` (or `Command+Shift+K` on Mac) 2. Start typing to search your bookmarks 3. Use arrow keys to move through results 4. Press `Enter` to open in the current tab 5. Press `Ctrl+Enter` to open in a new tab 6. Press `Escape` to close instantly ### Built for speed LaunchMark is designed to feel lightweight and responsive. Search and ranking happen locally in your browser, with no external services and no unnecessary overhead. Whether you have a small bookmark collection or a large nested structure of folders and saved links, LaunchMark helps you reach what you need faster. ### Privacy first LaunchMark works entirely on your device. * No tracking * No analytics * No cloud sync * No data collection * No remote storage Your bookmarks stay in your browser and are only used to provide search functionality. ### Why these permissions are needed LaunchMark requests only the permissions required for core functionality: * **Bookmarks** — To read and search your saved bookmarks * **activeTab** — To open the launcher on the current page * **tabs** — To support tab-related actions such as opening results * **scripting** — To inject the launcher interface when needed * **`<all_urls>`** — To allow LaunchMark to work on regular webpages across sites ### Important limitation Chrome does not allow extensions to run directly on certain internal or restricted pages such as: * `chrome://` * Chrome Extensions pages * Chrome Web Store pages * some browser-controlled pages On those pages, LaunchMark falls back to the extension popup or popup window instead. ### Ideal for LaunchMark is especially useful for: * developers * researchers * students * power users * anyone with a growing bookmark collection If you rely on bookmarks often, LaunchMark helps make them actually usable again. V2.1 Release Notes: - Added favicons for bookmarks V2.0.0 Release Notes: - Performance improvements — Search runs faster with debounce and pre-filtering, so results show up with less typing lag. - Bookmark updates sync everywhere — Launcher refreshes after bookmark changes, so results stay current across tabs and popup. - More robust behavior — Internal checks make the extension handle edge cases more reliably, so it stays steadier in normal use ### Support & Feedback Have questions or found an issue?
