See how much of a pull request is product code, tests, docs, or generated output. Reviewable Diff for GitHub makes pull requests easier to understand by showing what the changed lines actually contain—not merely how many lines were added or removed. On GitHub pull request pages, the extension analyses the changed files and groups the diff into useful categories: • Product code • Tests • Documentation • Generated files • Vendor files • Lockfiles • Other files A compact panel displays the proportion of the pull request belonging to each category. This helps reviewers quickly distinguish meaningful application changes from supporting updates such as tests, documentation, generated output, and dependency files. Reviewable Diff is useful when: • A large pull request looks intimidating based on its raw line count • Most of the changes are tests or documentation • Generated files or lockfiles inflate the apparent size of a change • You want to estimate the real review effort before opening the full diff • You are reviewing several pull requests and need a faster way to prioritise them The extension works directly on GitHub pull request pages and supports both public and private repositories that you can already access. It does not require a separate account or external dashboard. Reviewable Diff does not replace GitHub’s existing diff statistics. It adds a more informative breakdown alongside them, giving reviewers a clearer picture of what is actually reviewable.
