The built-in tools are limited, the APIs are complex, and there was no good developer cum business friendly way to handle content migration. Bridge was built to solve this problem. It provides a clean, modern interface that works directly in your browser, wrapping the official SitecoreAI Content Transfer API and Item Transfer API into an intuitive workflow. Content teams often resort to manual copy-paste, custom scripts, or expensive third-party tools just to move content between environments. Business is dependent on developers for simple content migrations. Bridge fills that gap by providing a free, open-source tool that handles the complexity of Sitecore's transfer APIs while presenting a simple interface that anyone can use. Architecture Principles Local-first — All operations run in your browser. No data is sent to third-party servers. Zero trust — Credentials are stored in Chrome's local storage and only sent directly to your Sitecore instance. Minimal footprint — Lightweight extension that does not slow down your browser. Fail-safe — Dry run mode, transfer persistence, and recovery banners ensure nothing is lost. Open source — Fully transparent codebase that anyone can audit, contribute to, or fork. Privacy Bridge does not collect, transmit, or store any data outside of your browser. Your Sitecore credentials and content data remain entirely on your machine, stored in Chrome's encrypted local storage. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. Security Bridge uses the official OAuth2 client credentials flow to authenticate with Sitecore. Tokens are cached locally and refreshed automatically. The extension only communicates with your configured Sitecore instances — no other network requests are made. Open Source Bridge is free and open source.
