Set a default playback speed for every HTML5 video — per-site speeds, quick controls, YouTube cleanup. Free, private, open source. Watch everything at your speed. Tach sets your preferred playback speed automatically on every site that uses HTML5 video — no more reaching for the player menu on each new tab. When you want to adjust on the fly, a clean popup gives you a slider, +/- buttons, one-click presets, and keyboard shortcuts. Go from a frame-by-frame 0.01× crawl all the way up to a 4.0× sprint. FEATURES • Default speed on every site — pick it once, it applies everywhere. • Quick manual control — drag the slider (snaps to 0.25), nudge by 0.05 with +/-, or tap a preset (0.5×–2×, fully editable). • Keyboard shortcuts — speed up, slow down, or reset without opening the popup. • Per-site memory — remember a different speed for, say, YouTube vs. your lecture site; it sticks for that domain. • Frame-by-frame slow motion — drop all the way to 0.01× to crawl through the exact moment you need (a sports replay, a tutorial step, a tricky dance move), then back up to 4.0× to power through the slow parts. • YouTube cleanup (optional) — hide Shorts, hide comments/live chat, keep chat out of fullscreen, and skip ads by seeking past them. • Copy Transcript — grab a YouTube video's transcript to your clipboard in one click (with optional timestamps). • Looks the way you like — light/dark/auto theme and a custom accent color.
