Automatically closes a random unpinned tab when you hit your tab limit—pinned, grouped, and active tabs stay safe. Tired of drowning in tabs? dLux Tab Number Limiter keeps your browser under control. Set a maximum number of tabs, and when you go over the limit, the extension closes a random eligible tab so you stay productive without manually hunting for ones to discard. HOW IT WORKS • You set a tab limit (1–1000) in the extension options • When the number of eligible tabs exceeds that limit, one random tab is closed • Closing continues (about one tab per second) until you’re back under the limit WHAT STAYS SAFE Tabs that are never closed: • Pinned tabs • Tabs in a tab group • The currently active tab Only unpinned, ungrouped, non-active tabs are candidates for automatic closing. That way your important work, grouped projects, and the page you’re looking at are protected. Install the extension 2. Open the extension options (right-click the extension → Options, or via chrome://extensions) 3. Set your preferred tab limit and click Save 4. Browse as usual—when you go over the limit, excess tabs are trimmed automatically Perfect if you open “just one more tab,” leave dozens open “for later,” or want a gentle hard cap without micromanaging every window. Privacy: The extension only uses the tabs and storage permissions needed to count tabs, close excess ones, and save your limit. It does not collect personal data or send information to external servers.
