Description
Save photos and videos from any Threads post — one image, or a whole multi-image post. Runs 100% locally. ## English ### Name (≤75 chars) Downloader for Threads — Save Threads Photos & Videos ### Summary (≤132 chars) Save any photo or video on Threads. Hover an image to keep that one, or grab every file in a post. Fully local, no account. ### Detailed description Downloader for Threads saves the photos and videos you are already looking at straight to your computer — no third-party site, no sign-up, no upload. **How it works** - Hover any photo or video and a ⬇ badge appears in its corner. One click saves that exact file. - On a post with several images or videos, a second ⇓ badge appears — that one takes the whole post in a single ZIP. - On a post page (threads.com/@user/post/…), a "Download post" button sits in the bottom-left corner and grabs everything the post contains. **Details that matter** - Highest quality: the largest variant Threads offers is the one fetched. - Byte-for-byte: files are stored exactly as served, never re-encoded. - Tidy names: every file is saved as `account_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS_postcode[_NN].ext`, so a folder sorts itself. - Smart packaging: a single file saves as the original; several files become one ZIP. - Live progress in the toolbar popup and in a floating bar on the page, with pause, resume, and stop. Stopping still saves everything fetched so far. - Light and dark themes, following your system. **Privacy** Everything runs locally in your browser. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no tracking, and no media ever passes through a third party — your browser fetches it directly. Nothing is collected, stored remotely, or sold. **Scope** This extension downloads the post you are viewing. It has no bulk or whole-account mode, and it does not scrape, crawl, or automate browsing. **Notice** For personal backup and offline viewing only. You can only download content your own logged-in account can already see.
