Strip C2PA, XMP and EXIF metadata from an image without uploading it. Runs the same cleaner as ailabelcleaner.com, in your browser. AI Label Cleaner strips the metadata that marks a photo as AI-generated or edited - C2PA content credentials, XMP packets, EXIF blocks and generator tags - and hands back a clean JPEG. It works in a side panel, so you never leave the page you are on. NOTHING IS UPLOADED Decoding, metadata scanning, cleaning and re-encoding all happen inside your browser, using WebAssembly. Your download comes from a local object in the tab, not from a server. This extension has no upload endpoint, so there is nothing to leak. HOW TO USE IT 1. Click the toolbar icon to open the side panel. 2. Drop up to 10 photos into it, or drag an image straight off any page. 3. Or right-click any image on a page and choose "Clean metadata". 4. Download the cleaned file. WHAT IT REMOVES - C2PA / Content Credentials manifests - XMP metadata packets, including AI provenance (IPTC digitalSourceType) - EXIF blocks, including GPS coordinates - Generator and software tags naming the model that made the image - Text chunks in PNG and WebP files carrying prompts or parameters WHAT YOU GET BACK A camera-style JPEG carrying a synthetic device profile, so the result looks like an ordinary photo rather than a stripped file. The panel also lists exactly what it found in the original, so you can see what was there. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not touch pixels. Invisible pixel watermarks such as Google SynthID, and visible marks drawn into the image itself, are not container metadata and are not removed. We would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise. FREE AND PREMIUM Guests get 3 cleaned photos a day. A free account gets 15 a month, counted against your account rather than this browser. Premium removes the limit. The panel always shows how many you have used and how many are left. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN WORDS - Side panel and context menu: the interface itself. - Storage: the signed guest id, and the image you just right-clicked. - Cookies: reads one cookie, als_session, pinned to ailabelcleaner.com, to see whether you are signed in. No other site's cookies can be read. - Scripting: runs one short function in the tab you picked an image from, so the image can be fetched from the page's own origin. It reads nothing else on the page. - Access to other sites is optional. Chrome asks one site at a time, only when you act on an image there, and you can decline.
