Reduce AI slop on YouTube with private, local, on-device filtering. SlopMute gives you control over AI-made videos, automated low-quality content, and videos about AI on YouTube. Choose a protection mode or customize each filtering category yourself. WHAT SLOPMUTE DOES • Automatically hides matching AI-made videos and automated slop • Optionally hides videos discussing AI • Works across YouTube home, search, subscriptions, channels, playlists, recommendations, and Shorts • Keeps blocked videos available in a private review list • Lets you restore videos, show them once, or allow specific channels • Provides quick controls and optional feedback directly from the browser toolbar THREE PROTECTION MODES Clean up my feed Light filtering for obvious AI-made and automated content. No AI slop The recommended default. Filters AI-made and automated low-quality content while keeping ordinary AI news, tutorials, and discussions. Absolutely no AI Also filters videos about AI for users who want a much broader clean-up. INVISIBLE BY DEFAULT Ghost Mode removes blocked cards from view without deleting them from YouTube’s page. You can switch to Inspect Mode whenever you want to see explanations or review SlopMute’s decisions. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Filtering decisions happen locally in your browser. SlopMute does not require an account or send your YouTube browsing activity to a SlopMute AI service. SlopMute uses visible YouTube signals such as titles, channel information, labels, and repeated content patterns. It may not detect AI-generated media that provides no visible clues. SlopMute does not inspect video frames, audio, or transcripts. SlopMute filters organic YouTube content and is not an advertisement blocker. If you choose to use the feedback box, only the words you type are sent to SlopMute. You remain in control. Blocked videos can be reviewed, restored, or allowed from the SlopMute interface.
