5 Tabs Only 5 Tabs Only is a powerful, minimalist extension designed to enforce discipline and boost your productivity by limiting the number of tabs you can have open across all browser windows. It works silently in the background, making it the least intrusive way to combat tab clutter and high memory usage. Stop losing focus and browser speed to an endless cascade of open tabs. 🌟 Focus-Driven Features Silent Enforcement: This extension works automatically. When you exceed your limit, the new tab is instantly closed, or moved to a new window (your choice), without any annoying pop-ups, notifications, or alerts. Global and Local Limits: Set a maximum limit for the total number of tabs across all windows, or set a limit for tabs in a single window. Real-time Tab Count (Optional): The extension icon can optionally display a clean, real-time number showing exactly how many tabs you have remaining before you hit your limit. Flexible Pinned Tabs: Decide whether pinned tabs count toward your maximum limit, giving you control over essential open pages. Automatic Cleanup: Enforces your limit instantly upon tab creation, promoting better browsing habits from the moment you click "New Tab." ⚙️ How It Works Set your tab limits once in the options page. The extension runs in the background, monitoring all your open tabs. Once you reach the maximum, any new tab you try to open is instantly prevented, forcing you to close an existing tab before starting a new task. Download 5 Tabs Only and make your browser work for your focus, not against it.
