Connector to the ReclaimTime desktop application to track and block websites. Visit https://reclaimtime.com to get the app. ReclaimTime is a workplace focus and time awareness tool. This extension is the browser connector for the ReclaimTime desktop application, and it does nothing on its own: without that application installed and running, it stays idle. When your organisation has ReclaimTime deployed, the connector tells the desktop application which site the active tab is on. The application compares that against the rules your organisation has configured and, where a site is not permitted during working hours, shows a block page in place of it. It also allows the time you spend on websites to be reported accurately in your organisation's ReclaimTime dashboard. Why the connector is needed: without it the desktop application has to infer the current site indirectly, which is slower and far less reliable. The connector is what makes website rules apply promptly and consistently across Chrome and other Chromium browsers. What it does not do: it does not collect passwords or form contents, it does not read page text, and it does not send anything to a third party. The address of the active tab is passed to the ReclaimTime application already installed on the same computer, over Chrome's native messaging, and it is that application which applies your organisation's policy.
