Encode, decode, and live-reveal Base64 zlib payloads locally across browser tabs. Zlib Tool is a focused local utility for encoding and decoding Base64 zlib data directly from the Chrome toolbar. Features: - Encode UTF-8 text as standard Base64 zlib data. - Decode Base64 zlib data into text or lossless hexadecimal bytes. - Find zlib/Base64 payloads embedded in logs and JSON. - Display multiple decoded payloads in source order. - Recognize supported protobuf-style metadata envelopes. - Build envelopes from JSON, text, or hexadecimal payloads. - Move results between Encode and Decode without using the clipboard. - Optionally live-decode visible payloads in rendered text, fields, and CodeMirror-style editors across supported browser tabs. - Process everything locally with no network requests or stored payloads. Zlib Tool requests optional all-sites access only when you enable the footer live-decode toggle. Its packaged script then covers supported existing and future tabs. Rendered values and read-only fields can switch between decoded and original content. Editable fields and contenteditable code editors—including Temporal UI output boxes—stay unchanged and receive a separate decoded preview. Original values and decoded results remain in temporary memory. Turning the toggle off restores pages, removes previews, unregisters the decoder, and removes the optional site permission.
