Open PDFs in UnoPDF to edit, convert to editable Word, or start an AI-assisted PDF workflow. UnoPDF is a complete PDF workspace that runs in your browser. This extension gives the PDF already open in Chrome a direct route into UnoPDF — no download, no re-upload, and no second app. EDIT WITH STRUCTURE IN MIND • edit existing text on supported PDFs, add text, images, signatures and annotations; • detect and remove supported images, logos, vector objects and QR codes while preserving the surrounding document structure when the PDF exposes those objects separately; • organise pages: merge, split, reorder, remove, rotate, crop and number pages; and • convert PDF to editable Word, Word to PDF, PDF to JPG and JPG to PDF. WORK FASTER WITH UNO AI Describe the change you want in plain language. Uno AI can prepare reviewable supported edits, rewrites, translations, searches and summaries across the document. AI changes are shown for review before they are applied. OCR prepares scanned PDFs for supported editing workflows. FINISH AND SHARE Compress PDFs, add or remove password protection, apply a watermark, work in batches, and use the PDF tools that match the job. Core manual editing and document tools are available to start free; advanced capability availability and limits are shown in UnoPDF when you choose a workflow. The extension is built on Manifest V3. It does not passively collect PDFs. When you choose an action, the selected PDF is held temporarily in the browser extension for the handoff to UnoPDF and cleared after import, with a ten-minute cleanup fallback for abandoned transfers. PDF-to-Word and other server-based UnoPDF workflows show their own processing/consent step before they begin. For PDFs saved on your computer, Chrome requires you to enable “Allow access to file URLs” in the extension’s details, then restart Chrome. This is a Chrome setting that UnoPDF cannot enable for you.
