Show the transcript of the current YouTube video and open it in Transkripe. Transkripe brings YouTube transcripts right onto the watch page. Open a video, and the extension shows the transcript in a panel next to the player, plus a one-click button to open the video in the full Transkripe web app. Use it to turn a public YouTube video into readable text, then create a summary, notes, key points, quizzes or reusable drafts in Transkripe. How it works: - On a YouTube watch page, the extension detects the video ID from the page URL. - When you are signed in, it requests the transcript from Transkripe and shows it in a panel on the page. - If you are not signed in, it shows a sign-in prompt. Sign-in connects the extension to your Transkripe account with a secure token stored locally in your browser. - A toolbar popup lets you open the current video in Transkripe and manage your connection. What it does: - Adds a Transkripe button and a transcript panel to YouTube watch pages. - Opens the current video in the Transkripe web app. - Works on Chrome and Edge through Manifest V3. - Localized button text for English, German, Spanish, Turkish and Indonesian browser languages. Privacy: - No analytics, advertising, or background tracking inside the extension. - No selling or sharing of your data. - Stores only an authentication token and your connected email locally, used to request transcripts.
