Filter out Youtube videos not worth your time. Youtube Educational Filter helps you enjoy the vast educational resources on Youtube, without being distracted by the even vaster swaths of brainrot and distractions. Perfect for students, self-learners, and anyone trying to stop doomscrolling and use YouTube as the world's best free classroom instead of a distraction machine. HOW IT WORKS Install the extension, then open YouTube like normal. Within seconds, the extension reads the titles and channels of your home page's feed, asks OpenAI "does this actually teach something?", and filters out the junk. Tutorials, lectures, documentaries, how-to guides, and technical explanations stay. Reaction videos, drama, clickbait, and brain-rot get filtered. FEATURES 🌫️ Blur or hide — filtered videos are blurred with a "Filtered" badge, or removed from your feed entirely. Your choice. 👆 Click to reveal — spotted a false positive? One click un-filters the video, permanently. ✅ Channel whitelist — your favorite educational channels always get through, no AI check needed. 🎚️ Three filter strengths — from "just remove the obvious junk" to "only pure instructional content passes". ⚡ Smart caching — each video is analyzed once, so browsing stays fast and nothing lags. 📊 Statistics — see exactly how many distractions were kept out of your feed, with a per-video decision history. PRIVACY Only video titles, channel names, view counts, and durations are sent to OpenAI's API for classification — never your watch history, account info, or anything personal. All settings and results are stored locally in your browser. No tracking, no analytics, no accounts. FREE TO USE Works out of the box with a built-in quota that should be enough for most users. Power users can plug in their own OpenAI key for unlimited filtering.
