YouTube Trim helps you play only the selected time range of the video you are watching. When you want to skip long intros, unnecessary endings, or repeatedly listen to a specific part, it locks playback to the chosen range using start (green) and end (red) markers. With A–B loop support, you can continuously repeat the same segment, and with quick templates you can skip seconds from the beginning or end. Settings are saved per video; you can optionally back them up or transfer them to another device by exporting/importing JSON. Optional mini timeline and keyboard shortcuts speed up usage, and panel and floating button positions are remembered. Why install it? Save time: Skip irrelevant parts of talks, lessons, or music and focus directly on what matters. Repeat listening: Practice the same section (e.g., chorus or quote) using loop playback. You stay in control: Clear start/end points with minimum duration rules keep settings consistent. Your data stays yours: Users can back up or transfer settings via JSON; no additional account is required for core features. Note (transparency): The extension works only on YouTube (and sites specified in the manifest) with storage and tabs permissions. Trim preferences are stored locally in the browser. It does not cut the video on a server; it only limits playback within your browser.
