Organize your tab groups automatically by recency in an intelligent side panel. Tab groups are a powerful productivity feature, but managing them in Chrome's native interface is still restrictive. Last Used Tab Groups makes the experience smoother while staying simple: side panel access, automatic recency sorting, live search, and other practical improvements. WHAT'S NEW (v2.6.1) Overall extension stability improvements (protection of open tab groups, more accurate sync based on recent activity, and reliable tab count). FEATURES - Side panel display via the extension icon or keyboard shortcut (Cmd+Shift+L / Ctrl+Shift+L). - Automatic saving and recency sorting. - Pinning, renaming, and deletion. - Dynamic Deep Search across groups and tab contents with highlighting. - Lossless automatic merge of groups with the same name and tab deduplication. - Responsive design adapting to system themes (light / dark) and customizable Comfort/Compact views. KNOWN LIMITATIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS - Saved Groups: every time a group is opened from the extension, Chrome automatically saves a new version in its internal list, which may create duplicates in the bookmarks bar. Since Chrome does not allow extensions to access or delete these saved closed groups, the best workaround is to completely hide native groups in the bookmarks bar (right-click the bookmarks bar > uncheck "Show tab groups"). - The side panel may feel more intuitive on the left: go to "Settings > Appearance > Side panel position > Show on left".
