After you enable it for a site, the extension detects HEIC images on that site and converts them locally in the browser for display. It supports regular images, background images, and attachment link previews, with configurable output format options including JPEG, WebP, and PNG, as well as high, medium, and low quality presets. All image processing happens locally in the browser and no image data is uploaded to a developer-controlled server.
