Log work in Worklog straight from a GitHub issue or a Productive task. Worklog puts a "Log in Worklog" button on the pages where your work actually happens: GitHub issues and Productive tasks. When you are done with a piece of work, click the button in the bottom-right corner and Worklog opens in a new tab with the entry already started for you. The title of the issue or task is filled in, and a clean link back to the page is attached, so you keep the context without copying and pasting anything. On Productive that link is trimmed of the board and filter parameters the app keeps appending, so the entry points at the task itself rather than at whatever view you happened to open it from. The button appears on: - GitHub issues (github.com/<owner>/<repo>/issues/<number>) - Productive tasks (app.productive.io), in all three URL shapes the app uses Everywhere else it stays out of your way. Both sites are single-page apps, so the button also keeps up as you click from a board or a list straight into an issue or task. If you have installed Worklog as an app on your desktop, the options page lets you send entries straight to it through the web+worklog: protocol instead of opening a browser tab. Opening a tab is the default, and works whether or not the app is installed. The extension has no background worker and makes no network requests of its own. It reads the title of the page you are looking at and passes it, with the page URL, to Worklog only at the moment you click the button. The only thing it stores is that one setting, on your device.
