Every tab connects to infrastructure governed by someone's law. This extension tells you whose. HOW IT WORKS When you visit any website, the extension identifies the company behind it and shows a colored badge in your toolbar. Click it for full details. Four verdicts: - YES — EU/EEA jurisdiction. The company operates under European law. - ALMOST — European but non-EU (Switzerland, UK, Norway). European values, different legal framework. - NO — Non-European. Your data is governed by laws outside Europe. - NO IDEA — We could not determine jurisdiction. That alone should tell you something. WHAT YOU SEE - Company name and parent entity - Country and flag - Legal jurisdiction and applicable law - Data risk level (public, work, private) - European alternative when one exists - Link to european-alternatives.eu for the full catalogue WHAT WE CHECK Jurisdiction is based on the legal headquarters of the parent company, verified against public corporate records. Our curated database covers thousands of services across tech, e-commerce, fashion, banking, travel, delivery, and more. PRIVACY We do not collect personal data. No IP addresses, no browsing history, no user accounts, no cookies. The extension sends one anonymous data point per lookup (domain and risk level) to generate the European Digital Sovereignty Report, a quarterly publication on European digital dependency.
