Hover a link, tap a key, and it opens in a background tab — or queue videos up and open them all at once. Quick Open turns opening links into a keystroke. Point at a link, tap a key, and it opens in a background tab — your place on the page never moves, and nothing steals focus. SHORTCUTS • Z — on youtube.com, opens the video under your cursor. It only fires on actual videos, so it stays out of your way everywhere else on the page. • Q — on youtube.com, saves the video under your cursor to your queue instead of opening it. • Ctrl + ` — on any site, opens whatever link is under your cursor. All three are rebindable, and each one can be switched off on its own. THE QUEUE Point at anything worth watching later and tap Q. Nothing interrupts you, and the toolbar icon keeps a count. Open the popup to see your queue with thumbnails, open a single video, or open the whole list at once — in the order you queued it. The queue is stored on your own device and never leaves it. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • The link is resolved from where your cursor actually is at the moment you press the key, so scrolling never opens the wrong thing. • New tabs open directly after the current tab, so Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+W behave the way you'd expect. • The YouTube shortcut ignores channel links, playlists, and interface elements — a bare key that never misfires. • It stays quiet while you type. Search boxes, comment fields, and text areas are never intercepted. • Works inside embedded players and other frames. SETTINGS Click the toolbar icon to see your current bindings or pause every shortcut at once. Open the settings page to rebind keys, choose whether tabs open in the background or the foreground, and turn off the confirmation note. PRIVACY No accounts, no analytics, no servers. Quick Open reads the URL of the link under your cursor at the moment you press a shortcut, and hands it to Chrome to open. Your queue is stored on your own device, and your preferences are stored in Chrome's own sync storage, tied to your Google account.
