Search and Timestamps * Search transcript text while watching. * Highlight matching results. * Jump to the corresponding point in the video. * See the number of matching results. Bookmarks and Notes * Save important moments from a transcript. * Add notes to saved moments. * Review saved moments from the extension. * Create a structured Markdown document from saved moments. AI Assistance Send a transcript to ChatGPT, Claude, or Google Gemini for analysis. The extension includes optional prompts for tasks such as summarizing content, finding key insights, creating action items, and generating questions and answers. Export Save transcripts in several commonly used text, subtitle, and structured-data formats. Exported files can include timestamps when supported by the selected format. Multiple Languages Switch between transcript and caption languages when multiple tracks are available. The extension supports available human-created and automatically generated captions. Playlist and Batch Extraction Scan supported YouTube playlist and channel video pages, select multiple videos, and process their available transcripts together. Multiple transcripts can also be exported as a single ZIP archive. How to Use 1. Open a YouTube video or Short. 2. Select Copy Transcript from the YouTube interface, or open the extension from the Chrome toolbar. 3. Search the transcript, save moments, switch available languages, or choose an export option. 4. Copy, export, or send the transcript to your selected AI service. Keyboard Shortcut The extension supports a configurable keyboard shortcut for opening YouTube Transcript Copier. The shortcut can be changed through Chrome's extension shortcut settings. Privacy YouTube Transcript Copier is designed to process transcript data locally in your browser. * No account registration is required. * No analytics or telemetry are used. * Transcripts and bookmarks are stored locally using Chrome storage. * Transcript data is not sent to our own servers. * When you use an AI integration, the transcript is sent to the AI service you select. The extension requests access needed for its transcript extraction and integration features.
