You spent ten minutes writing a support ticket, a job application, a long email reply. Then the session timed out. Or you hit the back button by accident. Or the page just crashed. Gone. Unlost quietly saves what you type into any field on any website. When a page eats your work, click the icon, hit "Put it back," and it's there — restored directly into the field, exactly as you left it. How it works Unlost saves your text as you type, 800ms after you pause. It keeps the last five versions of each field and deletes everything older than 7 days automatically. When a page is about to close or refresh, it flushes a final save so the last keystrokes survive. If the original field is gone when you restore — different page, rebuilt form — it copies to your clipboard instead. What it will never do Unlost never touches password fields. It skips payment fields, one-time codes, and anything that looks like a card number, SIN, or banking credential — by autocomplete attribute and by name pattern. Most importantly: there are zero network calls in this extension. Your text never leaves your device. There is no account to create, no server to sync with, no analytics, no remote config. You can inspect every line of code and confirm this yourself. Why that matters The Chrome Web Store has a graveyard of abandoned form-recovery extensions — and some of their replacements are counterfeit malware.
