ALL SHORTCUTS ARE CUSTOMIZABLE AT chrome://extensions/shortcuts WHY IT ASKS TO READ AND CHANGE DATA ON ALL WEBSITES: Rewriting a page's favicon means running a script inside that page, which is what the install warning refers to. That script does exactly one thing: it writes a link rel="icon" holding a greyed copy of the icon already there. No page content is read, and nothing is transmitted. If you narrow DeLoad's site access to "on click" in your extensions settings, deloading still works, it just stops greying. PRIVACY: No servers, no analytics, no telemetry, no network requests. DeLoad keeps a rolling list of the last 300 URLs you deloaded in local storage so it can put those tabs back to sleep when a session restore wakes them. That list never leaves your machine.
