Smart file upload recommendations based on page context xUpload turns file uploads from a chore into one click. Whenever you land on a page with a file upload field — a homework submission, a job application, an email attachment — xUpload automatically highlights the upload area and recommends the right files from your local computer, based on what the page is asking for. HOW IT WORKS • xUpload scans a folder you choose and builds a private, local index of your files • When it detects an upload field, it highlights the zone and shows ranked recommendations on hover • Click a recommendation to preview the file, then confirm to fill the upload field instantly • It gets smarter over time — files you upload frequently on a given site get boosted to the top COMPLETELY PRIVATE All matching happens on your device. Your files never leave your computer. No file content is ever sent to any server. The optional Gemini API mode sends only a short text description (not the file itself) to improve matching accuracy. WORKS EVERYWHERE • University portals (Gradescope, Canvas, Blackboard) • Job application sites • Gmail and Outlook attachments • Government forms • Any site with a standard file upload field LEARNS YOUR HABITS If you always submit OS homework from your "23S/OS/" folder on Gradescope, xUpload will rank files from that folder higher the next time you're on that course page — automatically, with no configuration needed. OPTIONAL GEMINI INTEGRATION By default, xUpload uses a fully offline TF-IDF matching engine — no API key needed. For higher accuracy (especially with image files or vague upload labels), you can provide a Gemini API key to enable embedding-based or vision-based matching. GETTING STARTED 1.
