Automatically start videos at the time you set for each site, while keeping any later playback position the site restores. PlayFrom starts videos at the time you choose, on the sites you choose — skip recurring intros, recaps and slow openings without touching the progress bar. HOW IT WORKS • Open a video page and click the PlayFrom icon. The site's address is prefilled; type a time such as 03:55 and save. • Chrome asks for access to that one site only — nothing is requested for other sites. • Refresh the page. PlayFrom finds the main video, waits for playback to settle, then seeks to your time. When several rules match, the most specific one wins. WHY IT IS SAFE TO LEAVE ON • Your real progress wins: if the site has already restored a later position, it is kept. Videos are never dragged backward. • No silent jumps: a small tip near the progress bar announces every seek with the target time, a 3-second countdown and a Cancel button. • Patient with players: it waits out pre-roll and mid-roll ads instead of blocking them, follows single-page apps such as YouTube, and reaches players inside iframes and open Shadow DOM. • Runs entirely in your browser: rules live in Chrome sync storage; no accounts, no analytics, no network requests from the extension. GOOD TO KNOW • Works with standard HTML5 video players. Live streams cannot be seeked; closed Shadow DOM, canvas-rendered and DRM-protected players are out of reach. • This is not an ad blocker: ads are recognized and waited out, never skipped.
