Multi-billion dollar companies employ armies of engineers to keep you scrolling to see ads. They profit from your distraction. TABULA is your defense—a simple tool that puts you back in control. # How it works: • Your tasks appear when you visit distracting sites • Snooze (5 min) for quick legitimate needs • Dismiss (60 min) when you've earned recreation time • Or complete a task and feel the satisfaction of progress # Why TABULA is different: • 🎯 Not a blocker - A moment of choice, not a wall. You stay in control. • 🔒 100% private - Your data never leaves your device. No accounts, no cloud, no tracking. • ⚡ Lightweight - Under 100KB. No performance impact. • 🛠️ Customizable - Choose your sites, adjust your timers, pick your theme. • 💚 Open source - Audit the code, contribute, or fork it. Built by humans, for humans. # Perfect for: • Writers who open Reddit "just for a second" • Developers who get lost in YouTube tutorials • Students who need Twitter for research but stay for the drama • Anyone who's tired of algorithms deciding how they spend their time # Features that respect you: ✓ Drag-and-drop task reordering ✓ Priority levels & due dates ✓ Dark/light themes ✓ Works across all your tabs ✓ Minimal permissions (only what's needed) ✓ No analytics, no ad tech, no manipulation TABULA was designed for the sole purpose of helping people live more fulfilling lives -- to protect your life against the devouring attention economy. The result? You'll find yourself completing tasks instead of feeding the feeds. The hope is this will reclaim hours each week of your time as it has for me for what truly matters to you—not to them.
