Save any page, selection, link, or image to your BrainBuild knowledge base. BrainBuild is a personal knowledge base that turns what you read into something you actually remember — saved pages become searchable, linked into a concept graph, and resurfaced with spaced repetition. This extension is the capture side: save from anywhere on the web without opening the app first. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Highlight on any page — select text and click Highlight (add a note if you like). Your highlights tint green and reappear when you revisit the page, even on apps that load content dynamically. • Save the current page from the toolbar popup — pick a topic, or leave it on Auto-file and BrainBuild files it for you. • Right-click to save a selection, a link, or an image. • Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac) saves the page you're on. • Attach a "next step" intent to a save so it shows up when you're ready to act on it. HOW IT WORKS The extension is a thin client. It stores nothing itself — every save is one authenticated request to your BrainBuild account, where the page is extracted, summarised, embedded, and linked into your graph. You can also point it at your own self-hosted server; the capture API is documented in the open-source repo. SETUP 1. Create a free account at brainbuild.app. 2. Go to Account → Access tokens and generate a token. 3. Open the extension's Options and paste the token. PRIVACY • Your token and backend URL are stored only in this browser. • The extension talks only to the backend URL you set — no analytics, no third parties. • To show your saved highlights when you revisit a page, the extension asks your backend whether it has highlights for the current URL. Fragments and credential-bearing query parameters are stripped first. Full details: brainbuild.app/privacy.html
