Asset Scanner for ServiceNow turns a handheld barcode reader into a fast way to update your CMDB. Open your ServiceNow instance, click the extension, scan an asset tag, and edit the fields you need — assignment, location, status, and more — right on the page. Works on any ServiceNow instance. There is no server, no API key, and nothing to configure to get started: the extension runs inside the page you already have open and uses the session you are already signed in to. Built for IT asset and inventory teams doing physical audits, onboarding/offboarding, or stockroom checks with a scanner such as the Socket Mobile in keyboard‑wedge mode.
