Locally scan, preview, back up, safely move, sort, and roll back bookmark changes. Bookmark Tidy helps you review and organize Chrome bookmarks without sending bookmark data to a developer server. Choose a folder scope, then scan for: - Exact duplicate URLs in the same folder - Matching URLs in different folders, shown as read-only hints - Empty leaf folders - A preview of direct-child sorting for one selected folder Before an approved change, Bookmark Tidy saves and verifies a local operation snapshot. Selected duplicate bookmarks and empty folders are moved into a local pending area instead of being permanently deleted. Sorting uses the exact order shown in the preview. The most recent compatible batch can be rolled back when no conflicting bookmark changes have occurred. Privacy and control: - Bookmark titles, URLs, folder paths, IDs, and operation snapshots are processed locally in the browser profile. - No analytics, ads, accounts, payments, remote fonts, favicon lookups, AI services, or developer backend. - The extension does not check whether bookmarked pages are online and does not open bookmark URLs. - HTML backups are downloaded only when you choose Export backup. Treat them as sensitive because they contain bookmark titles and URLs. - Chrome Sync may copy bookmark moves or sorting to other devices when sync is enabled. The extension never permanently deletes bookmarks. To permanently remove items from a pending folder, use Chrome’s own bookmark tools after checking your backup and recovery needs.
