One click on a YouTube video or Short sends its transcript to ChatGPT or Claude for an instant summary. No API keys. Watch less, learn more. This extension adds a small ✨ button to the YouTube player bar, and a matching Summary button to the Shorts action rail. Click it and: 1. The video's transcript is extracted instantly — right in your browser. 2. A ChatGPT or Claude tab opens with the transcript and your prompt already filled in and submitted. 3. Your summary streams in your own chat, under your own account. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • No API keys, no subscription, no separate account — it uses the ChatGPT or Claude web app you're already logged into. • Nothing is sent anywhere except by your own chat session. No servers, no analytics, no tracking. • Customizable prompt: change what gets asked (language, format, depth) in Settings with {title}, {channel}, {url}, {transcript} placeholders. • Works with manual and auto-generated captions, in any language YouTube captions support. • Works on Shorts too — same one click, from the button under Remix. HOW TO USE 1. Open any YouTube video, or any Short. 2. Click the ✨ button in the player controls (next to the settings gear), or Summary in a Short's action rail (just below Remix). 3. Read your summary in the chat tab that opens. Choose ChatGPT or Claude in the extension's Settings (click the extension icon).
