Fetch, embed, and check any website's favicon — one click from the toolbar. favicon.run puts the favicon.run toolkit one click away for whatever website you're on. Click the toolbar icon on any page and the popup instantly shows that site's favicon, with three one-click actions: • Fetch all sizes — open every available icon size for the site. • Copy embed URL — copy a one-line https://favicon.run/favicon?domain=…&sz=64 URL you can paste anywhere (sites, docs, READMEs, apps). • Check favicon health — a pass/fail report on the site's favicon.ico, PNG icons, apple-touch-icon, web manifest, and SVG, with copy-paste fixes. Plus quick links to the favicon.run brand directory, generator, and homepage. HOW IT WORKS The extension reads the hostname of your active tab and opens favicon.run's popup for that site. It's a tiny (~10 KB) shell — the entire UI is served from favicon.run, so it stays up to date without extension updates. PERMISSIONS (minimal, on purpose) • activeTab + tabs — to read the active tab's hostname only. • No host permissions. No content scripts. No background tracking. No account. PRIVACY The extension sends only the active tab's domain (e.g. "github.com") to favicon.run to look up that site's favicon.
