Description
Turn forgotten bookmarks into actionable insights. Local-first analysis, smart cleanup, and intent recovery. Bookmarks aren't passive URL storage — they're compressed intentions. Every link you saved carried an unfinished thought: something to read, compare, learn, decide, or build. Aftermark recovers that intention and helps you act on it. Aftermark is a local-first Chrome extension that indexes your entire bookmark collection, classifies content automatically, detects duplicates, finds dead links, and groups your saves into meaningful clusters — all without sending any data to a server. DASHBOARD See your full bookmark picture at a glance: total count, duplicates, dead links, stale bookmarks, health score, top domains, content type distribution, and bookmarks-per-month trends. SMART CLASSIFICATION 17 content types detected automatically: GitHub repos, articles, videos, docs, forums, shopping, news, real estate, academic papers, and more. Powered by URL pattern matching and title analysis — no AI required. CLUSTERS & SESSIONS Bookmarks are automatically grouped by domain, folder, time proximity, URL path, and project signals. Browsing sessions are reconstructed from timestamps, revealing research trails you forgot you had. CLEANUP WIZARD A guided 7-step flow: remove exact duplicates, review fuzzy matches, scan for dead links, surface stale bookmarks, flag single-visit domains, and clean up empty folders. Watch your collection health score improve. INSIGHTS Discover your bookmark personality (Developer, Researcher, Explorer, Generalist), peak bookmarking hours, busiest months, longest droughts, and age distribution across your collection. TAGGING Add your own tags, get smart suggestions, bulk-tag selections, and manage your tag vocabulary. Your corrections make the system smarter over time. REAL-TIME MONITORING New bookmarks are classified and indexed instantly. The dashboard updates live. No manual reimport needed. PRIVACY All data stays in your browser. No server, no telemetry, no account required. Future AI features will use your own API key — requests go directly from your browser to the provider. EXPORT Export clusters as markdown reading lists, HTML bookmark files, or CSV. Export shopping clusters as comparison tables.
