Link Gate adds a safety layer to your browsing by intercepting clicks on external links and showing a preview dialog before you leave the current site. See exactly where a link will take you before deciding to proceed. How it works: When you click any link that leads to a different website, Link Gate pauses the navigation and displays a clean overlay showing the destination domain name, the link text you clicked, and the full destination URL. You can then choose to open the link or go back — putting you in full control of your navigation. Features: • Intercepts both left-click and middle-click on external links • Supports modifier keys (Ctrl/Cmd+click, Shift+click) for new-tab behavior • Works inside iframes and embedded frames • Handles dynamically loaded links (SPAs, lazy-loaded content) • Close the dialog with Escape, the backdrop, or the "Go back" button • Only intercepts cross-origin HTTP/HTTPS links — internal links are never affected • Lightweight and fast with no unnecessary permissions • No data collection, no analytics, no tracking Why Link Gate?
