Fold long text and search pages with private, on-device AI. Fold turns oversized paragraphs into calm, expandable summaries directly on the page. Consecutive sections share one bounded overview card even when a publisher wraps each paragraph in separate layout containers; short connective paragraphs and subheadings stay with their surrounding article. Optional section details and the untouched originals remain available. The overview is generated locally from the combined original context, strict output limits prevent summaries from growing nearly as long as their sources, and unfinished model output is replaced by a complete local preview. A local page overview and temporary Focus mode make long reading easier. Continuous auto-fold mode watches infinite feeds and prepares upcoming content in cancelable, viewport-ahead idle batches, without repeatedly clicking Fold. Quick 5-, 15-, and 30-minute pauses restore open pages and stop folding without changing site-access choices. The popup shows the keyboard shortcuts Chrome actually assigned, marks conflicts as unassigned, and links directly to Chrome's shortcut editor. It pauses during fast scrolling or hidden tabs and cancels removed targets. Summary cards use isolated Light, Dark, or High Contrast designs that cannot inherit broken website colors or typography. Simple density and performance presets work out of the box. Search naturally—such as “How much does it cost?”—and Fold ranks the most relevant original passages with understandable confidence labels, reveals only the selected source inside its group, highlights why it matched without rewriting the page, and takes you there. Search results support keyboard review. Processing stays on your device. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, servers, or cloud-AI calls. Chrome's built-in local Summarizer is used when available; a clearly labeled local preview is used otherwise. Multilingual semantic search uses an optional, verified model downloaded once and cached locally, with built-in integrity verification and removal controls. Local compatibility diagnostics never include browsing content or queries.
