Detect PDFs already loaded in webpages and save the original files you are allowed to access. Web PDF Downloader helps you find and save PDF files that are already loaded or requested by the webpage. After you explicitly click the extension, it scans the current tab for saveable PDF resources, including: • PDF.js documents and viewer URLs • Embedded PDFs in iframe, embed, object, and similar elements • PDF Blob URLs and data URLs • PDF resources detected in the page's network activity • PDF download links and viewer parameters • PDF files available in the page's accessible browser cache • Custom PDF viewers that expose an original PDF resource The extension lists detected candidates with their filename, source, website, and page count when available. You can select a candidate and download the original PDF instead of saving a screenshot or re-rendered image. Additional features: • Scan the current page again after a document finishes loading • Show technical diagnostics for compatibility troubleshooting • Copy anonymous diagnostics without uploading page content • Process files locally in the browser • Support English and Simplified Chinese interfaces The extension only accesses the active tab after you start a scan. It does not automatically download files, monitor other tabs, read browsing history, or collect account information. Canvas-only documents cannot be exported as PDFs in the current version. Results for custom viewers, cross-origin resources, and browser cache entries depend on what the webpage exposes and on browser security policies. Web PDF Downloader does not bypass login requirements, paywalls, DRM, passwords, copyright restrictions, or any other access controls. Only download files that you are authorized to access and save.
