Record a screen, window, or tab with optional audio. Pause, preview, and download recordings locally. No account required. ScreenNest records the screen, application window, or browser tab you choose in Chrome, with optional microphone and supported source audio. Use it for walkthroughs, demos, explanations, and showing a problem clearly. Choose your settings, select what to share, and start recording. Pause when you need a moment, resume when you are ready, then preview and download your recording as a WebM file. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Capture a full screen, an application window, or a browser tab through Chrome’s sharing dialog. • Add your microphone and source audio where supported. • Choose 720p, 1080p, or original-resolution targets, with 30 or 60 fps targets. • Use a 3-second countdown, pause/resume, a recording timer, and a size indicator. • Preview, download, or delete recordings in a local library. • Record without an account, watermark, analytics, or cloud upload. YOUR RECORDINGS STAY LOCAL ScreenNest saves recordings in the extension’s local browser storage. It does not upload recordings to the developer. You choose when to download or delete your files. PLEASE NOTE Keep the recording studio tab and Chrome open while recording. Source audio availability varies by operating system and selected capture source. Resolution and frame rate depend on the source and device performance. Each recording is limited to 60 minutes or approximately 512 MB. Download important recordings: removing the extension or clearing its browser data deletes the local library. Recovery of interrupted recordings is best effort.
