Free screen recorder with camera bubble & mic. Record your screen to MP4 — private, no account. Frames, zoom & vertical presets. Free screen recorder for Chrome — record your own screen with audio and save your video straight to your computer. No account, no uploads, 100% private. SimCorder captures the screen, window, or tab you choose in Chrome's own share picker, and saves the finished recording on your machine. It's built for creating your own videos — nothing is ever uploaded, and SimCorder has no access to any website's content. WHY SIMCORDER • Private by design — no sign-up, no cloud, no tracking. Your video never leaves your computer. • Camera picture-in-picture — record yourself alongside your screen. Drag either one, resize it, choose which sits on top, and keep adjusting even while recording. • One-tap layouts, live — jump between screen-with-camera-bubble, swapped (your face big, screen small), camera full screen, or screen only — mid-recording, whenever the moment calls for it. • Camera frames — drop your webcam into a circle, halo, neon, square or rounded frame. Pick from live previews on the home screen and switch designs mid-recording. • Silky zoom while you record — scroll over the live monitor to glide toward your pointer (up to 4×), press Ctrl+Shift+8 to zoom in and out without ever leaving the app you're presenting, or double-click an exact spot. Drag to pan around while zoomed. Every movement is smoothly eased in the final video. • Annotation pen — draw on the recording live, in four colors, and clear it with one click. Perfect for circling what you're talking about. • Beautiful backdrops — gradient or custom-image backgrounds, with rounded corners and a soft shadow when your screen floats on them. • Privacy blur — drag a pixelation box over anything sensitive before or during the take. While a blur is active, the layout locks so blurred content can never slip out from under it. • Recording controls — pause & resume, mute your mic mid-take, a 3-2-1 countdown before capture starts, and a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+9) to stop. • Camera-only mode — skip the screen entirely and record a framed video message. • Microphone narration — mix your voice with system audio in one clean track. • Standard MP4 output (H.264/AAC) — plays everywhere, ready to edit. (On the rare setup where Chrome can't record MP4, SimCorder saves WebM instead.) • Crop presets for vertical (9:16), square (1:1), portrait (4:5), and widescreen (16:9), so your recording comes out at exactly the right shape for wherever you publish. • Custom crop region (Pro) — drag, resize, or type an exact size and record just that area. • Clean, resizable dashboard that remembers your size. Your camera and microphone are OFF by default, are only requested when you switch them on, and are used purely to build the video on your own machine — never uploaded or analysed. Missing something? There's a feature-request link right inside the app — ideas go straight to the developer. GREAT FOR Talking-head tutorials, meetings, product demos, course lessons, gameplay commentary, webinars, bug reports, and short-form social video. FREE VS PRO • Free: full-screen, window, and tab recording up to 3 minutes each; camera picture-in-picture, frames, and crop presets with a small watermark. • Pro (one-time, no subscription): unlimited recording length, watermark-free video, custom region, and 4K.
