Complementary colors were chosen as to not offend the eyes, and for readability. Looks good on HD monitors and AWESOME on 4k and WQHD displays as well. If you would like to find more of my themes, etc, follow me on Twitch.Tv http://www.twitch.tv/larceniii or check out my sad and ignored Clan Website (kill4play.com) that I do a bunch of crazy experiments on. Don't expect to much and you won't be disappointed! Also I had an experiment with BaconBaron.com uploading pics that I liked, but I quite after I uploaded a few thousand. It's worth checking out.
