Choose AI thinking modes, log usage, track cognitive cost, and pause supported AI chats when the meter fills. ThinkMode is a local-first Chrome extension that helps developers use AI more intentionally. It appears on supported AI chat pages like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Before prompting, describe your task and ThinkMode recommends one of five thinking modes: Explore, Challenge, Decide, Audit, or Reflect. It then generates a better prompt you can copy manually. ThinkMode does not read your AI conversations, does not scrape chat content, does not send your input to a server, and does not track usage in the MVP.
