Rewrite a draft you already typed. Preview a new tone and length, then apply it. On-device AI or your own key. AI Message Polisher rewrites a message you already started. Pick a tone and length, preview the result, then Apply it back into the compose box — or Copy it. It runs in Google Chrome on websites with a message box. It does not run inside native desktop chat or mail apps. Use the website in Chrome instead. How it works Click into a compose box Click Polish Choose tone (Professional, Friendly, Confident, Concise) and length Click Generate Review Original vs Polished Click Apply (or Copy) Several email and chat sites are enabled by default. For any other website, open it in Chrome, click the extension icon, then Enable Polish on this site. Choose your AI (toolbar popup) • Groq — fastest free-tier option. Paste a free key from console.groq.com/keys. Recommended for daily use. • Chrome on-device (Gemini Nano) — private, no key, slower, needs Chrome 138+ desktop. First use downloads a model. • OpenAI, Anthropic Claude — paid keys. • Google Gemini API — often unavailable in the EEA/Germany. Prefer Groq if that fails. • Custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint — your base URL, key, and model id. API keys stay in this extension. They are never injected into the website page. Cloud mode sends only the draft you chose to rewrite to the provider you picked. On-device mode keeps the draft on your computer. The extension does not read your inbox in the background and does not change a message until you click Apply. Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+Y (Mac: Command+Shift+Y). Generate can return up to three versions. Rewrites stay in the same language as the draft.
