Description
Lets Shun inspect and control Chrome tabs that you explicitly give to a task. Shun Browser Use connects one Chrome tab that you hand to a task running in the Shun desktop application, so that task can read the page and act on it the way you would. WHAT IT DOES Shares a single tab you explicitly give to a task: its URL, title, visible text and accessibility tree. Takes screenshots when the task needs to look at the page. Performs the navigation, clicks, scrolling and typing that the task asks for. Starts downloads the task requests, and reports their state. Reports the page's console output and errors so the task can see what it broke. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not run on its own. Without the Shun desktop application it does nothing at all; the toolbar popup simply reports that no connection is available. It does not read Chrome's cookie store or saved passwords, and it requests no broad website host permissions. It has no analytics, no advertising, and no server operated by us. HOW THE CONNECTION WORKS Everything travels over a loopback connection (127.0.0.1) on your own machine, and the local bridge accepts connections only from this extension's origin. Chrome shows its standard debugging notice only while a tab is attached, and Shun detaches automatically when the run finishes, fails or is cancelled — the tab itself is left open. DATA Browser results stay on your machine. They may be included in the requests a task makes to the AI model provider you configured in Shun, and they are covered by the privacy policy below.
