Create text snippets and expand them with shortcuts on any website. Shortcuts is a text expander for Chrome. Save the text you type over and over — signatures, replies, links, addresses — give each one a short trigger such as ;sig, and type that trigger in any text field on any website. The trigger is replaced with the full text the moment you finish it. How it works • Create a shortcut in the popup or on the management page (right-click the icon → Options). • Type its trigger in a text box on any site — Gmail, LinkedIn, support tools, forms — and it expands in place. • Add {{date}} to insert today's date, {{clipboard}} to paste what you copied, or {{First Name}} to be asked for a value each time. • Press Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac) to open your shortcuts without reaching for the mouse. Your shortcuts are stored in your account and synced between the extension and the web dashboard at shortcuts-app.com, so they follow you across devices. They are cached locally, so expansion keeps working offline. Import and export are available for moving from another tool. Requires a free account (sign in with Google, LinkedIn, or email). The free plan includes 20 expansions per month; Pro removes the limit for $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The extension reads only the text field you are typing in, never sends page content anywhere, and stays off in password fields.
