Strata lets you highlight passages on webpages, add your own notes, and find them again in a searchable personal library. HIGHLIGHT AS YOU READ Select text and choose Highlight for a warm yellow mark, or Add note to save a thought alongside it. Saved highlights return when you revisit the same page. FIND WHAT YOU SAVED Open the library to browse passages grouped by source page. Search by passage, note, page title, or URL, edit your notes, and open the original article. SAVED ON YOUR DEVICE Your library is stored in your Chrome profile and survives browser restarts. Highlighting and notes work on already loaded pages while offline. No Strata account is required. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data; a different profile or laptop does not automatically restore your library. OPTIONAL NOTION CONNECTION Connect your Notion account to copy highlights and notes into a notebook, grouped by article. Existing highlights are exported on first connection; later saves and note edits are queued locally and retried while Chrome runs. This is a one-way copy: edits in Notion do not update Strata, and deleting a local highlight keeps its Notion copy. The Notion connection is experimental. PRIVACY AND PAGE SUPPORT Without Notion connected, saved passages and notes stay in your browser. Connecting Notion sends saved passages, notes, source URLs, titles, and dates directly to Notion. Strata has no analytics, advertising, or its own backend. Strata supports selectable text on ordinary webpages. Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, Chrome's built-in PDF viewer, images, and canvas text are not supported. If a page changes significantly, a highlight may not be placed, but its saved passage remains in your library.
