Sync your X, Instagram and Threads saves into Haberdashery. Runs entirely on your machine — nothing is uploaded anywhere. Haberdashery Sync copies the posts you have already saved on X, Instagram and Threads into a folder on your own computer, so your bookmarks stop living inside someone else's app. It is the desktop companion to Haberdashery, a bookmark library for iPhone. It works on its own too: what it writes is plain JSON in a folder you choose, which you are free to read with anything. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar button to open the sync console. 2. Choose the folder you want your saves written to — normally a folder in iCloud Drive, so your phone can see it. 3. Open your saved posts page on X, Instagram or Threads and press Start. 4. The page scrolls itself while the extension reads the posts as they load. When it reaches posts it has already seen, it stops. WHAT IT SAVES For each saved post: the text, the author, the date it was posted, the link back to the original, and the addresses of any photos or video. Carousels are kept whole. Long posts are saved in full rather than truncated at the fold. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR MACHINE There is no account, no server and no analytics. The extension has no address to send anything to — you can confirm this by reading the source, which is short. Your posts go from the page into the folder you picked, and nowhere else. INCREMENTAL BY DEFAULT The first run reads your whole saved list. After that it only picks up what is new: it remembers the posts it has already written and stops once it recognises what it is seeing. You can also ask for a full re-read whenever you want one. BUILT TO SURVIVE A SLOW PAGE Saved feeds fail in ordinary ways — a request rate-limits, a section refuses to load and offers a Retry button, the page stalls halfway. The extension notices these, presses Retry, and backs off between attempts rather than stopping silently and leaving you with half your library. REQUIREMENTS You need to be signed in to the site you are syncing. The extension reads what your own browser is already showing you; it has no other way in, and no credentials of its own. OPEN SOURCE The whole extension is a handful of readable JavaScript files with no build step and no bundled libraries.
